 Chinese brush painting

Chinese brush  painting is the traditional art of painting with natural animal hair brush and ink on rice paper or silk. These paintings are divided into two parts, monochrome paintings and color paintings.Mostly animals, birds, flowers or nature scenes are used for this purpose.

The trick to this style of painting is to hold the brush and direct it, producing subtle and refined strokes. These paintings are similar in style and technique to traditional Chinese calligraphy.Chinese brush painting is one of the oldest continuous artistic traditions in the world. This refers to an art that has been practiced since around 770 BC when artists of the Eastern Chaw Dynasty began to depict the natural world.Themes such as a single flower, a fruit or birds sitting on a branch are used for this.Supplies needed to learn this art are various sizes of Chinese calligraphy  brushes ,black and colored inks palettes or containers for inks, rice papers, pencils. In the past, solid and liquid forms of ink were used for Chinese painting, and nowadays they also come in tubes. The use of this ink is very light and the small pigment particles penetrate well into the paper or silk surface. While silk is used for traditional brush painting, rice paper is a more readily available and cheaper alternative.the basic strokes ,Bamboo ,Thomsan's flowers, orchids and crescentamami are all great for beginners in Chinese brush painting. This is because you will be able to practice brushstrokes that are integrated into the art form.Contemporary Chinese and international artists are currently inspired by this art.
